Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
Data We Collect
- Account details you give us: email address, display name, style preference and hemisphere.
- Wardrobe content: photos of your clothes, item details, outfits, wear history, trips and packing lists.
- Optional face photos submitted for colour analysis, and photos of items you are considering buying.
- Subscription and billing status (handled by our payment provider — we never see your card details).
- Messages you send to the in-app style assistant.
How We Use It
- To run the service: storing your wardrobe, generating outfits, packing lists and colour palettes.
- To personalise suggestions using your own items, seasons and destinations.
- To manage your subscription, support requests and account security.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use your photos to train third-party models.
Third-Party Processors
- Supabase — database, authentication and file storage.
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis of garment photos, face photos, chat and trip planning.
- Stripe — subscription payments, tax and invoicing (as merchant of record).
- Open-Meteo — weather and climate data for destinations you enter.
Your Rights
- Access and portability: download everything we hold about you as a JSON file from Profile settings.
- Erasure: delete your account and all associated data and files from Profile settings.
- Rectification: edit or remove any item, outfit or trip at any time.
- Objection and restriction: contact us and we will act on your request without undue delay.
Data Retention
- Wardrobe data is kept for as long as your account exists, and removed when you delete it.
- Raw face photos used for colour analysis are deleted after processing, and in any case within 24 hours, unless you explicitly opt in to keeping them. Only the derived colour palette is stored.
- Backups are rotated on a short cycle and expire automatically.

Age Requirement
- Closet Genie is for people aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and accounts found to belong to under-16s are deleted.
